Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the Philadelphia University in Jordan, and later received my professional architect’s license from the Ontario Association of Architects. Worked for several international architectural firms in Jordan and Canada, I joined RVA in 2016 and have helped RVA Architecture grow from a supplementary service focused on water and wastewater projects to a full-fledged division with an ever-expanding portfolio of schools, community centers, office complexes, and fire stations.

Overseeing architectural operations, team performance, and project delivery is essential, along with developing firm-wide policies, workflows, and quality control measures. Financial management, including project profitability and resource allocation, plays a key role, as does representing the firm in negotiations, client relations, and business expansion. Additionally, supervising department heads ensures staff growth and efficiency, while leading long-term strategic planning drives business growth and innovation.
Business
As a design leader, responsibilities include defining and directing the firm’s design vision and aesthetic approach while ensuring compliance with firm policies and industry best practices. Establishing design standards and reviewing project deliverables are essential to maintaining quality and consistency. Active participation in client presentations and discussions helps strengthen relationships and drive business development. Collaborating with marketing teams plays a key role in positioning the firm’s brand effectively. Additionally, setting firm-wide goals in sustainability, technology, and design standards fosters innovation and ensures the firm remains at the forefront of the industry.
Projects
As a design leader, responsibilities include leading design development and overseeing drafting teams while guiding project teams to ensure efficient workflows and quality control. Managing multiple projects from concept to completion requires strict adherence to local building codes and regulations, along with the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and detailing. Close coordination with consultants, including structural, MEP, and landscape teams, is essential for seamless project execution. Additionally, overseeing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables ensures timely and cost-effective completion.
